PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy explains what Stats Hero (the “app”) does with your information. Stats Hero is made by Studio 7 Creative, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It is short and plain because Stats Hero is built to keep your information with you.

1. THE SHORT VERSION

• There is no account or sign-up.
• What you enter stays on your device: your teams, players, seasons, games, plays and stats. We never receive them, and we never see the names of your teams or players.
• We collect limited, anonymous information about how the app is used, such as which features are opened, using an analytics service called Mixpanel. It is never what you enter, and it is not linked to your name or email address (section 4).
• We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
• We only receive other information if you choose to email us.

2. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Everything you enter in Stats Hero, including teams, players, seasons, games, plays, stats and your settings, is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Stats Hero does not send it to us or to any server of ours. Like other apps’ data, it is included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer) according to your device settings.

3. WHAT THE APP DOES ON YOUR DEVICE

• Permissions: Stats Hero does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location or anything else on your device.
• Game recaps: on devices that support it, Stats Hero can write a short recap of a game on your device, using Apple’s on-device language model. The facts it uses stay on your device and are not sent to us.
• Sharing: the share button in Settings shares a link to the app’s page on the App Store, and nothing from inside the app.

4. USAGE INFORMATION (ANALYTICS)

To understand which features people use and to find and fix problems, Stats Hero sends limited usage information to Mixpanel, an analytics service that processes it for us.

What is sent:

• Events that describe how the app is used, such as opening the app, creating a team, starting or finishing a game, viewing a game’s or a season’s stats, and opening the upgrade screen, with details such as the sport, the number of players, the number of plays recorded and how long a game took.
• Information about your device and the app: the app version, your operating system version, your device model and screen size, the type of network connection, and your approximate location (such as your country), which Mixpanel works out from your IP address.
• A random identifier that the app creates on your device. It is not your name, your email address, your Apple Account or your device’s advertising identifier, and it is used only to tell the anonymous usage of one install from another.

What is never sent: the names of your teams, players or seasons, your scores, the plays you record, anything else you type, your contacts, or your precise location.

We use this information only to understand and improve the app. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except Mixpanel, which may use it only to provide its service to us, under its terms. 5. PURCHASES

Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple may give us sales and download reports that do not identify you. The app asks Apple, on your device, whether you have bought the upgrade, and to restore a purchase if you ask it to.

6. CONTACTING US

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use what you send only to reply to you and to fix problems. We do not share it, and we do not use it for marketing. We keep it only as long as we need it to help you and to keep a record of problems.

7. WHAT WE DO NOT DO

We do not sell your information, show ads, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or build profiles about you. We do not share what you enter, because we do not have it.

8. YOUR CHOICES AND DELETING YOUR DATA

You can delete anything you have entered in Stats Hero at any time, and deleting the app removes the data it stores on your device. Because we do not hold what you enter, there is nothing on our side to delete, other than emails you have sent us and the usage information described in section 4, which stops when you delete the app, along with the identifier it keeps on your device. If you would like us to delete emails you have sent us, email us and we will.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you rights over your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete or move it, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to complain to a data protection authority. The usage information in section 4 is not linked to your name or email address, so we may not be able to find yours without your help. You can still contact us about it, and we will respond to any request as the law requires.

9. CHILDREN

Stats Hero is not directed at children under 13. Parents and coaches may use it to keep score for a child’s games, and the names they enter stay on their device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. SECURITY

What you enter is kept in the app’s private storage on your device and protected by your device’s built-in security, including your passcode. Usage information is sent over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change how Stats Hero handles information, we will update this policy and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so in the app or in the release notes for the update.
